Installing with pre-wired conduit just got easier

Installers are increasingly discovering the great advantages of pre-wired conduits. Draka therefore decided last year, as the first cable manufacturer in the Netherlands, to take the production of Profit wire-in-tube combinations completely in-house. Now that the market is starting to embrace this sustainable solution from Dutch soil en masse, it is time for the further development of the package. That's why this year Draka is introducing coloured PROFIT tubes to see what's inside at a glance and from a distance.

Efficient installation

Today's demands are getting higher and higher when it comes to efficient installation.

"That is why we are also seeing an increase in the use of pre-wired tubes," says Wim de Boer, Product Manager Draka.

Installing with wire in pipe offers installers advantages to work on the same installation with fewer people at the same time.

Colored tubes

It was therefore a logical next step to come up with a smart solution to easily recognize the contents of the wire-in-tube combination. Installation cables will continue to be recognisable by the familiar grey tube, but the conduit of signal cables will turn green, data cables will be recognisable in the blue tube in the future, and cables with functional integrity will be recognisable in pink.

Versatile, durable

Because Profit is produced entirely in the Netherlands, it is the most sustainable solution on the Dutch market. Profit provides various sustainability benefits, such as:

• 100% CO² reduction by eliminating transport movements in the production process;

• The foil packaging of the rings has been reduced by about 25%;

• Wide choice of cable lengths helps installers reduce cutting losses;

• Profit cables (up to 300 metres) are also available on plastic reels, which can easily be reused via the Reel Return Service from Draka and Rexel.

Dutch made in every size

The Profit package contains several cross-sections, of 16 mm, 20 mm and 25 mm respectively.

“"We can supply all cables that fit in a tube and are in stock," says product manager Wim de Boer.

Profit is available with VD or HVD installation wire, data communication or signal cable. Lengths from 25 meters of rings to even 500 meters of reels can be supplied.
