Dutch High-Voltage Cables from Prysmian Crucial for Modernizing Norwegian Energy Grid
Cable production in Delft plays a key role in strategic agreement between Prysmian and Statnett

Prysmian has been awarded a four-year contract for the supply of additional high-voltage cable systems to Statnett. The agreement also includes two optional renewal periods of two years each. Statnett, the transmission system operator in Norway, plays a crucial role in the electricity grid of Northern Europe. With this collaboration, both parties are strengthening their commitment to a reliable and sustainable energy supply.
This award confirms Prysmian's leading position in this segment and highlights the strong cooperation between Statnett and Prysmian. The award criteria focused, among other things, on the climate and environmental impacts of the proposal, together with the quality assessment, with Prysmian achieving the maximum score.
The scope of the contract includes the supply and turnkey installation of 420 kV cables and accessories, which will be produced in Delft.
