Toine Verschuur appointed director of industrial & construction within Prysmian's European electrification organisation
Toine Verschuur has been appointed director of the Industrial & Construction division within Prysmian with effect from 1 April 2025. The division is part of the renewed European Electrification organization. This business unit aims to accelerate electrification in the construction and industrial sectors at the European level.
Electrification of the economy is crucial for Prysmian to reduce the use of fossil fuels and greenhouse gas emissions in order to combat climate change. Cables and related products are essential for this electrification. As the global market leader in cable solutions, Prysmian believes it is its responsibility to play a pioneering role in this energy transition.
More efficient collaboration and more customer-oriented innovation

To accelerate electrification, Prysmian has recently redesigned its Electrification business unit. The new structure enables more efficient cooperation with industry parties and greater customer focus.
"The energy transition requires cooperation, speed and innovation. With our teams in Europe and the Netherlands, we want to support customers even better," says Toine Verschuur. "The new structure helps us to switch faster, work together smarter and make better use of opportunities. You do business with people and I see this as a great opportunity to broaden my view and build sustainable impact together with colleagues from different countries."
Collective responsibility
In his new role, Verschuur will work for a better alignment between production capacity and customer needs, more intensive cooperation with distribution partners and installers and driving innovative and sustainable solutions in the region. Toine Verschuur will also remain responsible for Prysmian's activities in the Netherlands, including the well-known Draka brand, which celebrates its 115th anniversary this year. Toine Verschuur has been working at Prysmian since 2009.
