Prysmian at Hanab Sustainability Day 2025
We are proud to announce that Prysmian Netherlands played a significant role in the first Hanab Sustainability Day, held on February 5th. Our Utilities Commercial Director, Sander Lauwers, along with colleagues Gerjan Bijsterbosch and Toine Verschuur, represented Prysmian at this landmark event.
The day was filled with inspiring speeches from industry leaders, including a keynote address by Dutch Astronaut Andre Kuipers. Andre highlighted the critical role of spaceflight in driving innovation and collecting data to support a sustainable future. His message was clear: we must care for our planet and accelerate our sustainability efforts and the energy transition.
Sander Lauwers had the honor of participating in a panel discussion where he emphasized the importance of taking immediate action. He shared Prysmian's commitment to sustainability, showcasing our advancements in circular material development, material passports, and efforts to reduce Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Sander urged the industry to step up, be bold, and lead the way in creating a sustainable future.
