Sustainable wire is now also conquering recreational construction thanks to Noordeloos Elektro
Dormio Resort Medemblik is the first holiday park where VD E-LINE from Draka is used on a large scale. Noordeloos Elektro provides all holiday homes with this sustainable wire. For the technicians, VD E-LINE is a fully-fledged alternative to regular VD wire.
Once again, West Friesland is setting course for the future. In the region where VOC ships once left for the East, a sustainable oasis is being built that uses innovative technologies, such as heat pumps, solar panels and sustainable cabling, from Draka. In the village of Opperdoes, Dormio Investments is building a new resort with luxurious and comfortable holiday homes on the water.
Dormio Resort Medemblik
The holiday park will eventually contain 88 holiday homes in 12 variants. Detached houses and semi-detached houses alternate here at the end of the year in a variety of architectural styles. Complemented by a reception building and swimming pool. Jorritsma Bouw is responsible for the construction and selected Noordeloos Elektro for all electrical installations. The completion of the first phase, with 35 homes, will take place in August.
Natural Draka
The choice for Draka cables was clear to Jack Moeijes.
"I've been working with Draka for at least 30 years, I don't know any different," says the director of Noordeloos Elektro. "We work with regular suppliers that we can rely on, if there is any. Draka is our main supplier for cable solutions. Her price is firm, but her quality is also very high. Moreover, her stock positions at the wholesaler are always good."

Not a VD wire, but VD E-LINE
"We received a request for VD wire," Erik Ringeling recalls. The regional manager of Draka suspected that Noordeloos Elektro VD E-LINE had not considered. "If VD E-LINE is not prescribed in terms of specifications, many installers opt for standard VD wire." Moeijes agrees that clients have a guiding role in sustainability. "Moreover, we are usually mainly active in non-residential construction and in the construction of substations for energy companies."
A total of approximately 45 km of VD E-LINE is processed at Dormio Resort Medemblik.
Seeing is believing
Moeijes quickly agreed: "We are known for being able to switch quickly and be very flexible, even under pressure." His choice for VD E-LINE was rewarded, because the mechanics are also very enthusiastic. 'Pulling wire may be even smoother than with regular VD wire,' says one of them. Ringeling listens to it with satisfaction: "We already have many projects in North Holland and the visibility of VD E-LINE grows with every project. And thanks to Noordeloos Elektro, the recreation sector is now also discovering our product." Again new routes and markets start in .... West Friesland.
