Prysmian offers the first fully recyclable and low-impact MV-cable insulation in the world
P-Laser is a fully eco-friendly insulation, manufactured using thermoplastic materials. It’s a recyclable solution that contributes to our customers’ sustainability work and drives added value for their business.
The production process of this Medium Voltage Cable utilises ‘zero-gas’ technology, reducing CO2 emissions by around 1 tonne/km.
Degassing is no longer required and its use of thermoplastics means a more efficient, fully integrated production process from start to finish.
SUSTAINABLE LOGISTICS
In 2022, Prysmian and Stedin launched a successful pilot project using electric heavy-duty vehicles for cable delivery—a first in the medium- and high-voltage sector.
This zero-emission logistics approach is now the standard for all MV E-LINE deliveries, which contributes to reducing the carbon footprint throughout the entire lifecycle of the cable
