Especially for those who play a significant role in contributing to a sustainable energy transition. Prysmian Group is happy to take its responsibility in this regard and contributes to the sustainable development of people and communities, goods and services and the enabling of sustainable energy. Cicularity approach

As a global leader in the cable industry, Prysmian Group believes in providing energy efficiently and sustainably for our community. Prysmian Group, which also includes the Draka and Prysmian brands, is constantly looking for smart solutions by making innovative products that are less harmful to the environment. We have developed a circularity approach that makes it possible to make sustainability aspects transparent and measurable at every stage of the life cycle.

Some examples of such smart products developed in 2021:

  • Supply of 100% recyclable P-laser medium-voltage cables for network solutions for the Dutch market. The P-Laser cable delivers superior performance and contributes to significant CO2 savings.
  • Delivery of eco versions of many variations of installation wire, installation cable and low-voltage ground cables to various innovative construction projects in the Netherlands, including Ecovillage Boekel.
  • For 49% recycled PE outer sheaths for MV cables.
  • Aluminium conductors for HV cables as an alternative to copper.
  • Ecoslim cable concept for the telecom network. With Ecoslim we achieve a 50% lower CO2 footprint compared to standard solutions.

Prysmian Group is the only cable manufacturer in the world with approved SBTi targets (Science Based Targets). The Science Based Targets initiative is a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute and the World Wide Fund for Nature. Since 2015, more than 1,000 companies have joined the initiative to set a science-based climate target.
