Installation Capabilities for Submarine Cables

OVERVIEW

Installation Capabilities

From shallow water to deep water, from soft soils to hard soils, from single cable to bundled cables, we have the experience and assets to provide complete solutions across all manner of cable installations.

With a fleet of eight cable laying vessels, Prysmian has the largest state-of-the-art fleet in the industry. We make the best use of the available resources to ensure project efficiency and safety at all times.

Prysmian Alessandro Volta

Prysmian Alessandro Volta is a DP3 ship built for the most challenging worldwide cable installation works. This cutting-edge vessel boasts three carousels with a total capacity of 19,500 tonnes and its system of tensioners able to sustain a maximum tension of 60 tons, making it one of the highest cable loading capacity vessels in the market.

Prysmian Monna Lisa

Prysmian Monna Lisa boasts the most avant-garde technology in the market, and reinforces Prysmian’s EPCI approach offering engineering, manufacturing, installation and monitoring services, strengthening Prysmian leadership in the interconnection and offshore wind farm markets. She is designed, equipped and capable of operating in waters of up to 3,000 meters.

Prysmian Monna Lisa matches the capacity and performance of Prysmian Leonardo da Vinci, while incorporating some green improvements such as lower CO2 emissions thanks to the shore connection and an energy storage system with double the battery capacity.

Prysmian Leonardo da Vinci

Prysmian Leonardo da Vinci is one of Prysmian’s most efficient cable laying vessel.

With the its carousel capacity and bollard pull, it operates for extended periods in challenging weather and works to the deepest depths.

Leonardo da Vinci is a cutting-edge vessel also in terms of sustainable performance as it ensures reduced environmental footprint.
